Instant Collaboration, Conferencing and Live Webinars for up to 250 People with CliqMeet | Online Collaboration Tools | Scoop.it

Robin Good's insight:

CliqMeet is a new browser-based collaboration, conferencing and webcasting platform supporting up to 250 attendees without requiring any installation and setup and while integrating:

  • Whiteboard
  • Presentation sharing
  • Screen-sharing

Co-Browse Any Web Page Instantly with Surfly

Robin Good's insight:

Surfly is a new web-based app which allows you co-browse any web page while being able to show and see each other live cursor in real-time.

You can invite multiple attendees, and each one of them can see your selected web pages no matter what kind of device or screen size they have. As you scroll the page, they see it scrolling too.

To start a session you simply share a URL with those who you want to invite. No software to download or install. No need to even to register or login.

My comment: The best, easiest and most convenient tool to co-browse and collaborate over any web page at a distance. It works instantly. Nothing to do make it work. Simplicity and immediacy win over features.

Collaborative Free P2P Screen-Sharing for Macs and PCs with ScreenHero

Robin Good's insight:

ScreenHero is a downloadable app for Windows and Mac computers that allows you to collaborate one-on-one on the same app with someone else at a distance.

ScreenHero has recently added full support for Windows PCs and it now integrates a voice feature allowing you also to talk with the person you are collaborating with.

Your login credentials and session data are fully encrypted using a P2P TLS scheme (SSL based).

ScreenHero operates as a P2P app, allowing parties to hook up directly to one another, and resorting to its centralized servers only when a direct connection is not possible for some reason.

My comment: An excellent screen-sharing tool for distributed teams. If you regularly operate with someone else at a distance and you need to easily and reliably share screens to see and edit drafts, mock-ups, presentations or code, ScreenHero is a great resource.

N.B.: If you are on a PC you will need a recent version of Windows, as PCs with Vista and earlier Windows versions are not supported.

Persistent Team Collaboration Workspace Integrates Always-on Videoconferencing: Sqwiggle

Persistent Team Collaboration Workspace Integrates Always-on Videoconferencing: Sqwiggle | Online Collaboration Tools | Scoop.it
Robin Good's insight:

Sqwiggle is a new real-time collaboration platform which allows you to meet persistently and videoconference easily with your distributed team, as well as to have a group messaging stream that keeps you updated on everything happening.

Sqwiggle has been designed to be a persistent real-time collaboration tool, meaning, that it is ideally used to bring closer, as if they were side-by-side, teammates that work at different locations by remaining always-on and by making extremely easy to switch on the the audio-video communication.

This is why you can turn on Sqwiggle at 9am and switch it off when you go away, as it makes so easy for you to activate a video conversation with anyone of your teammates, while working at a distance.

My comment: I always thought that a persistent always-on collaboration space is the perfect way to work side-by-side when you have a distributed team, and so I wrote back in 2004 a short article entitled: Working side by side. It was 2004. Maybe I was a bit too ahead of my time. Sqwiggle may be much more in sync with the times than I was, and I would certainly recommend it to any team wanting to feel as if they were working at the same table.

N.B.: Sqwiggle comes both as a Mac app and a web-based service.

More people are running to charity tube to post free videos and watch free videos than posting on you tube. Try posting at charity tube and you will never leave. http://www.africatube.net/ More visitors and more video views. Don't take our word for it, try it. Post one same video on youtube and put it on  http://www.africatube.net/ and return ater five hours and compare the viewers rate and decide for yourself. Create your very own group or forum and control who watch it and invite everyone to watch the video. Above all, post video in English or in any language and viewers can watch video description in their own language. Try it and let us know your experience. Above all it is absolutely free like youtube
