If you can do it with paper why use a digital alternative? Because for some of students, it makes the difference between engagement and being switched off. Of couse finding the activities that you just can't do with paper...that's the real power of a digital solution.

It’s about time you give some love to Google+, a social media platform set to attract more people not only because of its new dressed up interface, but also by the recent features added.
Google+ is obviously betting big on photos as it launches its ability to “auto awesome” images uploaded to it. Its mobile app came through with its refreshing updates as well. All in all, it has been a very active month for Google+ and the new wave of features is projected to increase its social networking share. Compromised websites have been an attractive target for cyber-criminals. These websites distribute different malwares designed to steal valuable information from the victim’s machine. McAfee has recently encountered a compromised website which distributes malicious .jar file and Fake AV.

The term “new normal” is the lingo used to describe drastic change in doing something or life after a major event. The change is usually quick and immediate. It alters one’s approach to something or way of life. In the educational world a slower transition is happening that will create a new normal.
That change agent is social media. Social media has been around for some time but its practical use is relatively new to educators. As I engage more and more educators in the use of social media for educational purposes I hear a lot of the same questions. Here are some of the most common questions with my responses.

We all know that as students progress through their school years, their homework load increases. Fifteen year olds may look longingly back to when they were ten and had a whole lot less work to do at home. According to the handy infographic below, the average 6-8 year old spends 9 hours per week studying, vs. 14 hours per week for college students.
